Remains of the Day Journal #1

I have finished the construction on my first Remains of the Day journal that I am making with about a gazillion wonderful and creative people in Mary Ann Moss' latest online class. Hurray Mary Ann!!!! She is a hoot and I have enjoyed every class I've taken with her so far. Here is a video showing the constructed (but as yet unfilled) journal. Enjoy!

Your ROD journal is awesome - I love all the little tuck away spots you have on your pages for things to hide in! Congrats on a great journal.

Fantastic! I love it. The crinkling paper sounds so awesome, that' s my favorite part. And your cover is so pretty.

Beautiful!
Your cover is Fantastic!
I love your papers and the bits of fabric and lace.
The way the clear pages are edged in colorful paper or fabric.
AND
that you Knit Too!

Your video is great. I love the colors you used on the cover. The pages look really good, I like how you made a lot of places to tuck things into. Oh and yes, the crinkle of pages turning, that's really neat.

Cindy,
Great job on the journal and the video! I LOVE your tea bag pockets in the journal - very clever. Love the big rick rack, too, and hearing the crinkle of the paper and the 'windows' of the security envelopes.

fabulous! i especially am tickled by the rickrack hanging off the edge of the page. i have no idea why this struck me. and the brown paper stuff with the slits cut in it. i have some and have no idea what it is or where it came from, but i don't think i would have thought to put it in my book.
and then it occurred to me how sorry i feel for anyone who has NOT been collecting 'stuff' for 35 years. what in the world would they put in theirs except junk mail? sad sad state of affairs. thankfully, i have been collecting and collecting and collecting...
